Guess I am over the Hill around here at 83! I carry a SW Shield .40 caliber. IWB, cross draw. I admit firing it 36 rounds during qualifications can make you wish it were over soon. I have two other semi-autos, a .380 and a 9mm Walther P38 (damned dangerous), plus a .38 Spl Colt Diamondback and a .38 Colt Police Positive which I haven't carried or fired for years. I do like the .40 Shield but probably would get the .9mm Shield if I were buying today. Carried the GI Issue 1911 early on in the USMC.. During service with the Border Patrol and Customs Service, revolvers were standard issue., .38 Spl. and later the .357. Both were too large for CC. For awhile I used the .38 SPL. airweight 2 inch Chief's Spl.. The pistol was an aluminum frame, too light and too much recoil at the time.
