I don't know why the gun interferes with reaching your wallet but, seriously, if it does I recommend switching to the left rear pocket. To get used to it maybe carry a thinner wallet for awhile.

I quit carrying a wallet in my back pocket over 30 years ago because sitting on a wallet WILL throw your back out of alignment. BTW, haven't had any need for a Chiropractor since moving my wallet to my front left pocket.
Obviously my tip would be to move your wallet to a front pocket. Not only will you find you have less back pain you'll also have a wallet in a pocket that is far more Pickpocket Resistant than a back pocket.
PS; my front right pocket is now dedicated to my Ruger LC9S.
