Just got this Model 28 yesterday. Looks like a 44 Magnum conversion using a 44 Mag cylinder, barrel and rear sight. The interesting thing is that it is a nickel finish gun that looks to be original nickel. As you can see by the serial it was made in 1969. Is it worth a letter to verify factory nickel? It has ten lines on the backstrap, sight and barrel. It appears to be a 28 frame by the notches at the connection to the barrel.
