Ive tried my share of stocks on my 340, really liked the looks of Altamonts on mine but they didn't have enough width near the top where they recoil into the web of your hand, so off they came like the rest. I tried on a set of Hogue Bantams (rubber) for my style of carry(pocket) I need the smallest size, and these Bantams really soak up a lot of recoil pain to the web of the hand. I bought a second set for my other 340 and feel like Ive got the cats meow for pocket carry. YMMV
