I really, really try not to be an old fuddy duddy about stuff. I have a smartphone, I'm on Facebook, and I like modern movies.
But, I definitely prefer classic looking 1911s. Blue, wood, serrations that go straight up and down and are located only in the back, extractor on the inside, fixed sights, short triggers, and arched mainspring housings.
If I found a Smith 1911 at a good price I'm sure I'd give it a go, though. They seem like outstanding guns.
