I'm looking at the .460 more than before thanks to your suggestions. As for hunting deer yes, as well as bigger game animals. But .460 or .500 either would see more range time & practice than field use. At least until next year.

Dude, I've thought about it a lot myself; going up from .44 mag that is. For hunting and..... whatever. I'm not trying to push you off the 500. I haven't even shot one so how could I? But after looking at them both, I know the next rung up the ladder would be an 8 3/8's .460 XVR for me. Devasting speed/velocity. Flat. Fastest round in the handgun world, right? Or something like that. I know sure as s--t it would do the job on anything I could lay the sights on at LONG WAY off. And I don't see a safari hunt for White Rhuno in my near future. U think the .460 gets over-looked a little, in the great 'magnum supremacy' discussion. But this is merely my suggestion and opinion. Your world.
