As Road_Clam mentioned, the 460 is a great option. I don't plan to shoot other loads in mine, as I already have a 454 Casull. My 460 has an 8 3/8" barrel. It CAN Shoot 460, 454 Casull and 45 Colt. It's a great pistol.
This lineup is the following:
5" 500 S&W
8 3/8" 460 XVR
7.5" 454 Casull
7.5" 44 Magnum 629 Hunter (Performance Center)

That 5 incher is the most pleasing to the eye for me. I have a 4 inch and had a snubby. Yep, that 5er is perfect to me. Looks like a swole up 629.
