But; according to the SCS&W 4th ED. a Model 28 in "excellent" condition would be worth $700....... " very good" $575

28-1 big bucks ( only a couple have been reported)
Here in W. Pa. a excellent 4" 28-2.......LGS market price $600-650......... could be had for $600 OTD
On trade at a LGS; $450-500max IMO
