Hello, just bought my first handgun, and not sure if this is the right place to post this question so sincere apologies if not!

Have my new M&P Shield 45, and I was planning on cleaning it before use. I read the owners manual and it didn't mention the preferred brand/type of solvent and lubricant to use. Want to use the right supplies as I begin the journey, would appreciate any guidance. Thanks.
