A quick lookup tells me the Peanut has a 2 7/8" main blade and the Trapper a 3 1/4". I have normally carried knives with blades between 2" and 3", and find them adequate for most of general purpose daily utility work. I'd probably buy the smaller Peanut. If that's not big enough for a particular, I'd then also buy something in the 3 1/2" to 4" for those bigger jobs. That just me.
