Field grade 1928 A.H. Fox Sterlingworth 12 ga. SXS shotgun
with 28 inch barrels. Excellent shooter grade double barrel
shotgun. The stock and splinter forearm were professionally
refinished by Steve Bertram of Boulder, Co. with the addition
of a period correct Silvers recoil pad. The LOP is 14", DAC is
1 3/4", and DAH is 2 7/8". Lock up is tight. The bores are
bright and shiny, and have been opened up to IC/MOD. All
serial numbers match.
The bluing on the barrels are 90% plus, and case colors on the
receiver are 50%. Steve also inspected the shotgun, then
cleaned and lubed the internals. It shoots like a dream.
On these old shotguns, use low pressure, low recoil shot shells
so you won't crack the stock. RST makes them.
