As a civilian with 40 year of concealed carry experience......I can only recall a couple of occasions where I felt the desire for a second handgun..... both long stories: one was a prison riot w/ injured being brought to the Hospital and another where we received a threat to break into the Psych ward.

95% of the time I'm content with a 3913(7+1) and an extra mag or two or a PC Shorty ( 12+1 and a 17rd extra mag).

Unless you intend to "just drop" your primary gun ......in all likely hood while moving.......leaving it behind.....I don't think a New York reload is going to be any faster. I'd rather just drop an empty mag!!!!!!

If I thought I'd need for a second gun....... make mine a long gun with a big magazine!
