Trigger bar moves to the right as the slide recoils. That is the disconnect mechanism because that movement holds the trigger bar away from the sear in recoil. Trigger will not fire until the slide returns to battery. This is initiated by a hump in the inside middle rib of the slide along the right rear behind the striker safety that presses on the striker safety extension of the trigger bar.
