I'll be getting the first one I can find. The price is comparable to other American manufacturered steel framed revolvers and the fact that it's only a 38 doesn't bother me. The vast majority of the reviews out there say the trigger is great. If anything I'm surprised it's priced as competively as it is given that it's got the Pony stamp on it.

Im assuming the naming convention comment regarding S&W's was sarcastic. A S&W M&P could refer to a 100 year old K frame revolver, a new plastic pistol, or their AR-15 rifle. And of course a Victory model could be referring to a new .22 semi-auto or a WW2 era "V" serial number revolver.
