Last week I picked up a model 58, about 85% blueing, grips had a some wear. I bought it from the man who bought it new in the late '60's. He had carried it for years as a game biologist, but had fired it less than 100 rounds. You can barely see a turn line. Paid $700 for it and I think I got a great deal. I wanted one that was tight but didn't want to pay for LNIB because I plan to carry and use it frequently. I really appreciate the mint ones, but I just don't have any use for something that I'm afraid to use. I've had it out a few times and just love it. I also have a Model 57 8 3/8" (near mint), but right now the m58 is my favorite. It would seem like the super nice ones would command $1000 - $1400.
