Well, after almost 100 posts, looks like a lot of love for the S&W 1911's to me.. The few neg posts are just that... you can't make all the people happy all the time ... it looks like most of the negs never even shot or handled a S&W 1911. Because there are a few changes from the original design, does not mean it's not as good. In fact, the opposite seems to be true. The few with bad experiences ... heck, I'll bet there are bad experiences with a Colt ... do a search.. that's just not a legit angle.

I live in Mass, so getting Colts, Kimbers, Wilsons, DW's or any other top name brands just is not in the cards thanks to our politicians.. I have a few of the mentioned brands, and can't say they are any better than my S&W's .. although my Dan Wesson Guardian 9mm Bobtail Commander ... is quite a gun... but it doesn't make my S&W 1911's any less of a great gun!
