I can understand your sentiments about flying but unless (1) everyone and everything you love and hold dear is local to you, and (2) everything you ever wanted to see on this planet is either local to you or you've been there and done it, your swearing off flying limits your life incredibly in the 21st century. I dislike flying very much. But not sufficiently enough to keep me from close friends and family or seeing the world.
