Weirdest I have heard lately involves Delta. Delta has started to divert luggage with firearms to the oversized and special handling luggage area and then Zip-tie it closed. Someone I know on another board was told that if he attempted to open it while in the luggage area the Delta employee would "have him arrested". (not wanting any trouble he opened it and concealed in the airport transport to the cars). Delta is getting a bit big for its britches about weapons these days.
