So I called this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't get Rachel. Instead, I got some guy who said that the whole Shield .45 "new style follower" thing is a big Internet myth and that I'll need to send in my Shield .45 to the mothership for repair if I am having mag drop issues not caused by me hitting the release accidentally.

I then offered to BUY the gosh-darn new style magazine followers. I mean, how much could they cost me? It's better than risking damage by sending the gun in for repair, right?

But again, he insisted that there are no "new style followers" and that it's all a big myth and I can waste my money if I want to but I'm just going to get the exact same (old style) followers that are in my Shield .45 and spare mags right now.

I guess I wait another week and hope I get Rachel next time I call.
