.............. and I thought I was the only nut that cut a tree down purposely with a firearm !!??

Once used a .357 Marlin rifle and 50 rounds........ to take out the top half of a white pine I thought was endangering the house. Blasted away at the thing about 30 feet up, walking around it as I shot. On the 50th round, I quit. A slight breeze brought down the top 25 feet within 5 minutes.....straight to the ground and did not hurt the house roof at all.
