Had an unauthorized slapper that I carried for emergencies. I put it away when blood born pathogens and STD became a big concern. Didn't want bad blood flying around. Bugged the brass for a taser until they relented and gave me one. Volunteered for the big hit with barbs during training. Was immediately convinced it was a better tool.
