I feel like I shoot my Shield as well as (perhaps better than) my FS 9. I keep the FS by the bed with two extra magazines. 52 rounds (17+1+17+17) should be sufficient. If not, there's always the 12ga within reach.

Why not find a range where you can rent a FS and see how it works for you?
