Browning HP fan.
I think the single action pistol in any form is obsolete for police and military use. Most of their ranks are not gun-buffs or 1911 freaks. The point-and-shoot pistol simplifies training, especially for those who can never be sure which end of the gun the bullets exit from.
The value of rare, collectible classes of Hi-Powers probably would not be affected. As for the common variety: if you told me 35-40 years ago that the ubiquitous Colt Detective Special would someday sell used in the $500.00 range, I might have tried to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.
If FN no longer supports the pistol by providing replacement parts, owning the HP could become a liability.
