I don't think I would use "stuck" in a pejorative way. The Ruger Standard Models through the MkIII are all fine guns. I personally don't see that much advantage to having a MkIV over the earlier versions.

Actually prefer the Mk II significantly over the Mk III because of all the "improvements" that aren't on the Mk III. The Mk IV has one advantage, if you're mechanically limited its far easier to maintain.
