I didn't think it would be unreasonable to expect some kind of confirmation email. The "thank you" page is just that. There's no kind of confirmation or verification number, so no real documentation. Just seems rather primitive in todays world. And as far as needing or banking on the rebate, it's not about that for me. I paid $475 for my Shield .45, with night sights. Maybe I would have bought it either way. But I expect them to hold up there end of the deal. Kinda like your paycheck at the end of the week. Not based on necessity, but you expect it as it was agreed upon don't you? And as far as ADHD, what's the point in having an inquiry or status webpage if it's completely broke? That just leads one to wonder when it says "sorry, no record." Do you naysayers realize this thread wouldn't even be here if that page worked?
