I think you did great, and that's coming from someone who's been loading .38 Special since 1964. You do need to tell us what weight and type of bullet you're using. You should also specify the gun, since you don't want to shoot +P loads in a Model 1899!

I've shot many thousands of 158 grain LSWCs over 4.3 grains of HP-38 (W231), but I back that off to 3.4 grains for my 1899 and 1902 revolvers.
