In a word, NO! You will still need to verify that the laser is correct with actual firing anyway. If it's a gun with adjustable sights, maybe a discrepancy could be corrected??? A lgs allowing you to put ANYTHING in the cylinder/chamber could be another issue. The sights are ONLY 1 thing to consider when buying new or used & either could be a **** shoot. Knowing what to look for and look out for, as well as an understanding of that particular model would be a better help IMO
