IMHO, the biggest issue with the BG380 is that folks expect it to be a well behaved range gun. (Getting one with a laser seems to double those expectations.)
Admittedly, the BG380 sucks as a range gun. The same attributes ( weight, size, thinness, long DA pull...) that make it an awsome pocket carry, make it hard to shoot (well) when shooting at targets past 20'.

As for me, I carried through the 80's and 90's when we would have paid HUGE dividends to have a carry option that light, compact, safe and reliable. I like my BG for what it is and accept it's limitations. IMHO, it is ideal for it's intended purpose.
