Welcome to the forums, hdtwice.
I bought my 627-5 Pro about 1 1/4 years ago and it is definitely one of my favorite range guns. I have a few thousand rounds down the pipe on mine now and it still shoots great. A couple of things I have done with my 627 is to change out the rubber grips with some nice Cocobolo wood Ahrends stocks and I also swapped out the red ramp front sight with the gold bead patridge style front sight like the 5" 627 Performance Center guns come with. I find that the gold bead front sight is much easier for my old eyes to pick up as compared to the red ramp sight. And the last thing I changed on mine is the cylinder release thumbpiece from the new style it came with to the older style that my 629-3 Classic has because I prefer the old style.
Here is a pic of mine as it sits now, except for the old style thumbpiece that I recently changed.
