I'd enjoyed some 9MM/38 Super conversions I'd done on 1911 type pistols before. I have a Kimber Eclipse Target in 38 Super that has performed flawlessly since Day-1 with any ammo I could stuff into it. I decided to make it a 9MM too, and tried to buy a new 9MM barrel from Kimber. The Customer Service lady at Kimber was very nice, but but wouldn't sell me a barrel. I decided to try a modestly priced Remsport 9MM barrel. Minimal fitting resulted in a pistol that locks up tight in battery, displays flawless reliability and excellent accuracy. This, with no other changes whatsoever to the base 38 Super pistol. Same extractor, ejector, recoil spring, etc. No tweaking/tuning/adjusting/polishing or parts changing required. I'd previously used Bar-Sto, Schuemann, KART, etc., both gunsmith fit and semi drop-in barrels. The Remsport barrel produced the best results, with the least work and expense, of any aftermarket barrel I've ever used. Must have been living right for a change
