I love the hammer profile on these I must admit... All my snubs are either 1 7/8ths or 2 inches. But I think a 2.5" snub is probably the best snub barrel length as I bet it balances a tad better. I love the under lug on these 66's as well. The 66 with a 158grain lead soft cast semi-wad cutter in the +P variety would make for quite the thug stopper/popper. I looked for a pinned and recessed 66 like the OP's for almost a year and gave up on a local trader site. I went with an M-36 but I still want a M66. Nice score OP. I'm a little jealous! Your grandson will be proud and always remember you for it when you pass it down!
