If the rifle was firing fine before the light strikes started and a good cleaning of the chamber and bolt doesn't cure the problem; then you may have chipped or deformed the tip of the firing pin.
As far as cleaning the bolt, use some power blast or whatever they call that spray cleaner to clean the channel the firing pin rides in. You will be amazed at how much stuff will come outta there.
