How did you come upwith that oal? You are comparing apples to oranges here imo. There really is no too short, you are always working the loads up. The real issue is long bearing surface of a rnfp (not wc) & the extra 20gr of bullet wt, so what powders? I would find some 250-260gr data, Speer #11. Start at minimum load & max oal that fits your gun.
Btw, that bullet is very close to the Le 255gr rnfp. My bullets are closer to 260gr as cast. They load really short, 1.170" oal.
