A 45 ACP 1911 is supposed to chamber on the mouth the case, with a taper crimp on the case. It is not supposed to chamber with the nose of the bullet touching the rifling.
Cartridge over all length, bullet profile, or leade in the barrel -- the first 0.020" to 0.040" of the rifling is chamfered to remove the "square edge" start of the rifling all affect how the case mouth meets the end of the chamber.
