Mdl 586-5 L Comp Question on date of manufacture (with pic)
Is there a good source to find out the date of manufacture of a S&W Mdl 586-5 L Comp, serial number CLC XXXX? My guess is around 1999, based on looking into other threads on this forum and the SCSW 4th Edition.
The revolver does not have a box, but does have a set of Craig Spegel large boot grips, signed and dated 2009. I added the old style thumbpiece. Overall, it is slightly holster-worn but looks to be in good shape. The trigger is excellent.
