Default S&W 5" 2.0 9mm vs .40 for supressor useage

I have a bunch of 9mm & .40 semi-autos but very few set up for a suppressor.

I have a few of the older S&W M&P's in a 9, 40, & 45, some with Apex kits.

My current dilemma is I recently handled a friends 5" 2.0 in 9mm & just love the gun.

My problem is I am on the fence between the .40 & 9mm.

I have a very large stash of .40 brass & bullets so a .40 would make sense for me but I want to turn my new (whatever one I get) into a suppressor host so am asking any of the current 5" 2.0 owners how the .40 in that gun is working with a can.

I'm interested in function & noise-- does the 5" 2.0 work OK with a can in .40?

How about function with heavier bullets like 200 grain as I would like to stay subsonic?

I guess I am asking for some guidance on using a 5" 40 with a can in the M&P 2.0?
