The earliest mention I can find is in a small two page 3x5 in. brochure "Holsters For Your New J Frame," issued in 1975, that shows the Model 63 holster as being in the "Blazer" style of IWB holsters for 2 in. barreled J Frames. Hope that helps. Ed.
