Bought a Glock 47 two weeks ago. For defensive carry, yes, this is a superior platform to a J Frame, but not better for defensive carry than say my 586 L-Comp. The 47 is certainly an easier carry.
But for defensive or EDC, my service Glock (Model 35) is better than my 627 UDR, and my Wilson Combat EDC X9 is better than my 586 L-Comp. So unless in the woods, I've pretty much set revolvers down for now. There is a TRR8 with light on my nightstand.
