I couldn't agree more about the newer style target stocks leaving so much to be desired. The old style factory K frame target stocks actually fit my hand better than the new style factory N frame target stocks. The first thing I did with my model 27-8 was put the original stocks away for safekeeping. Then I got some factory N frame target stocks from the early 90s, shot with them for a couple years and love them. Then I recently got some Culina, English Walnut, Coke profile. The N frame Coke profile is smaller than the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s style targets and closer to an older K frame factory style target grip (only with more of a palm swell), and its still quite a bit thicker than the new style factory N frame target stocks. I love the Cokes, and pretty much prefer any of the older thicker factory target stocks over the new ones.
