Congratulations on your daughter's graduation and, please, extend my thanks to her for her service to our country from a grateful patriot.

I make a similar trip from Ohio to CT several times a year. I have Ohio and CT (non-resident) permits so I'm covered for the majority of my 11-hour trip.

However, I find it greatly distressing that I have to stop at the PA/NY border to disarm and lock both the firearm and ammunition as prescribed by NY law in order to make the 1-hr drive across NY to the CT state line.

I am in favor of and in complete agreement for the need of nationwide reciprocity for legal concealed carry permit holders. When stripped of our 2A rights in places like NY, NJ and MD, we simply become "targets" for the low-lifes who could care less for legalities or for our individual rights and safety.
