This will prevent galling and peening of the stainless.

The other parts do need oil and be sure to oil the hammer pin and extractor.

The only down side of grease is that it may not work well under a pillow unless holstered.

BTW has anyone tried the Petrol Gel food grade sanitary grease? Looks as if it might be great for stainless and less messy than auto lube and moly.
