My father and grandfather had A-5s from '57, but unfortunately they aren't still in the family. I managed to get a '56 A5 on GunBroker.com, and I lucked out, paying $320. It had a 25" barrel with polychoke and detachable sights for turkey hunting. I sold the barrel and replaced it with a 30" vent rib with interchangeable chokes so I could hunt ducks and geese. The receiver was about 80% blued, mechanically sound, with a slight crack in the forearm. It was a Belgian Browning with an unmolested stock.
