I am a fan of most things 10MM. All of my 310/610 revolvers have had their chambers opened up so that they can fire 10MM Magnum in addition to 10MM Auto and 40 S&W

The 6 1/2" is a great revolver I really like mine for long range shooting

The 310 Night Guard is a fantastic carry piece. The weight of a K-frame but the versatility of the 10MM family of cartridges

Without seeing what the firearm in question looks like and without knowing how much the firearm in question is going to cost, there is no way I can possibly make a reasonable argument for or against buying it

I own several firearms that were customized prior to my acquiring them and I have no problem with that. I have also seen customized firearms that you could not pay me to own.

Who did the work is secondary to whether the firearm is appealing or not.

If you have come across so few, you could buy this one as long as it is even marginally appealing to you. Use it and enjoy it until you come across on that is in a configuration more to your liking. Then buy that one and sell off the one you have been using in the meantime

You could also purchase this one with the intent of returning it to original condition. This would be a lengthy and probably costly proposition, but it could be done.
