First new revolver I ever bought was a 28-2 in 1980. Tremendous revolver. Simply outstanding. It'll take just about anything you can load up and fire in it ... even stuff that is not in the books! Back when my world was one revolver and lots of imagination about handloads ... and little sense about what was wise ... discovered there were limits even with my 28-2. Live and learn. Now have two 28-2's ... a four inch that I bought in 2011 and a six inch that my identical twin brother (deceased) gave to me about 2000. Beautiful fitted, timed, finished. Both wear S&W target stocks. Both are a pleasure to my eyes! Doubtless you will enjoy many years with your new revolver as you go to the range and as you roam in the woods and fields.
