I have a black basketweave that will look better with the Brill-Persons
holster. I got that 1.25" belt because the Chic Gaylord Combat Speed
Scabbard has 1.25" loop, but the Brill does also. Maybe that would
date the Brill back toward the end of Newt's holster making days in
the 50s? I remember belts were quite narrow in the 50s and 60s.
Some even more narrow than the 1.25". I didn't wear belts in the
40s. Levis with no belt. Seems like men, at least working men like
my Dad, wore wider belts in the 40s.
