I'm not a fan of the Tavor (
it's very expensive and just doesn't work well for my body geometry), but I know how you feel about life and limited options available to us in the loony anti-2A PRM.
I am fortunate, for now, that I have all the long guns I want or need... until they are further banned, of course.
I have thought about getting a Kel-Tec SU-16 and might also consider upgrading to a second generation SUB 2000, but that's really about it for me.
I would recommend that you try a Tavor before you buy. You can try a 9mm at Mass Firearms School in Holliston.
