That's interesting but totally not where I was going with that comment. I was alluding to the self defense stopping power caliber wars we regularly engage in here on the forum. This fella' could have been dropped by any one of the
.380 caliber rounds tossed his way . . .

That's part of that scary part if you don't have competent legal representation to explain what 'stopping the threat means'.
And he didn't. If I could afford it I'd be sign up with that legal advisory board who puts you contact with lawyers who have experience in civilian use of force cases.
To his credit though he did not take a plea deal and that will help him win a new trial. But he needs a lawyer who has some experience in these types of cases.
