Late to the party and not European but in South Africa hunting with a supressor is encouraged and required on some farms. It is less stressful to the other animals and generally lowers the noise levels generally. I have never HUNTED with a suppressed rifles but I have CULLED with one. It definately reduces the shock factor for the other animals.
