I purchased this on a whim - well more of a compliment to my S&W Model 14-1 - but as in everything there is always something that we have been looking for that comes up and we would like to have it ! So some things must go.

I started to collect Smith's not Colts - so this is up for sale.

This pistol came from a colt collector who passed and the son is selling off the collection. It looks as if it has not been shot much at all. The bore is bright and shiny, bluing is excellent, rear sigh adjustment is fine. Mechanically this pistol is a vault. Lateral and rotational play are within specification to my testing. Also, the cylinder rotational play on all cylinders with stop engaged is very very tight, on all cylinders in the cocked and fired points of operation. Trigger is clean and crisp in both double and single action.

I would have no problem keeping this for the next generation but as I said, I like smiths. So, that all being said this is a great vintage target revolver, that I am offering this for sale. Asking $545.00 OBO shipped insured to your 01 FFL. I am looking for the widest possible dissemination, so this is on other forums and time stamp rules. I am sure you all know the drill.... Looking for a USPS MO and WILL take a personal check - but of course I will wait for it to clear prior to shipping.
