Personally I like unusual guns but they call out to a niche audience.

Objectively:
Per the SCSW 4th edition; the 29-3 would have been made circa 1982 - 1988. Originally it would have come with wood Goncalo Alves target grips. The SCSW (copyright 2016) lists the following values for The Model 29 Silhouette:
ANIB (as new in box) - $1200
Excellent - $850
Very Good - $750

A quick look at Gun Broker shows successfully completed, i.e. the gun actually sold, auctions for the Model 29 Silhouette anywhere from $730 to about $1600.

And Joe Internet, i.e. me, think the price is fair.

So there, you have three sources of information for price and by any measure the price could probably be argued to be fair or reasonable.
